Rara Lake Tour
Rara is the biggest and most astonishing lake of Nepal and is also Himalayan treasure of Nepal. Rara is the biggest lake of Nepal. It includes towering hills and is amazingly spectacular. Regarding its etymology, the Bhote people from Karandara used to come here with their yaks and sheep from the south, the Hindus came here and sacrificed he-goats to worship. Moreover, the Bhotes then started to call this lake ‘Ra’-‘Ratbecause ‘Ra’ means ‘he-goat’ and ‘Ra’ means ‘to roast’. The length of Rara is five km and the breadth is 2 km.
Attraction
